The Faringdon Collection with Lord Faringdon

Thursday 27th September 2018

Earlier this year we enjoyed a private visit to Buscot Park to see part of the Faringdon Collection which comprises many exquisite pictures, drawings, furniture and objets d’art. Following our visit we are delighted to announce an exclusive tour of the other works held by the family in their London home. This is a private collection not open to the public and includes many important works by British artists of the 20th century as well as Dutch and Italian Old Masters, all displayed in a beautifully furnished house.

The owner Lord Faringdon will lead a guided tour in the afternoon, following lunch (optional) in a charming restaurant nearby.

ThIs study day is now full but please email us if you would like to join a waiting list in case extra tickets are made available.

Itinerary

Please meet at Ognisko at 11.45. The restaurant is situated on the ground floor of the beautiful building that is the home to the Polish Club on Exhibition Road. You will need to sign in on arrival.

Lunch at Ognisko is optional and not included in the study day fee (payment can be made in cash on the day) so please let us know if you would like to join the group. We do hope you can join us – it’s always a lovely occasion and a nice opportunity to chat with other people attending the day.

After lunch we walk to Lord Faringdon’s home to see the collection – it is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the restaurant.

If you prefer not to join the group for the optional lunch, please arrive at Ognisko in good time for our departure at 1.40.

The tour will last approximately one hour and a guide book is included.

Practical notes and timings: the tour is limited to 15 people, so we will split into two groups, one at 2.00 and one at 3.15. Those who book first will be allocated the earlier slot and those in the second group can enjoy a leisurely coffee or tea at the restaurant before I come to pick them up at about 2.45. Please allow for the day to finish at 4.15. Thank you
