Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing

Tuesday 25th June 2019

2019 marks the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death which will be celebrated in a number of high profile exhibitions and events across the UK. These culminate in a major exhibition at the Queen’s Gallery in London where over 200 of the Renaissance master's greatest drawings in the Royal Collection will be shown, exploring the wide range of Leonardo's interests from painting and architecture to music, anatomy, engineering and cartography.

This will be the largest exhibition of Leonardo's work in over 65 years.

Join us for a special study day in London in conjunction with this prestigious event. We enjoy a private introductory lecture with Italian Renaissance specialist Siân Walters, followed by a delicious lunch in a private room at Keeper's House and timed entry tickets.

Fully booked - please let us know if you would like to join a waiting list

Please meet at The Linnean Society (on the left hand side of the courtyard as you come into Burlington House) in advance of our lecture which will begin at 11.00. Doors will open at 10.30 - we recommend allowing time to sign in and collect your tickets before the talk begins.

Our introductory talk given by lecturer Siân Walters will take place in the ground floor Meeting Room (opposite the main entrance as you come in).  You may like to have a coffee in the RA before the talk begins (please note, there are no refreshment facilties at The Linnean Society).

Following a delicious light lunch in Keepers' House for those who would like to join the group, we stroll across Green Park to the Queen's Gallery where we have timed entry tickets to the exhibition in the early afternoon.
